Breaking news! Anova Culinary are about to release a new device – the Anova Nano Precision Cooker in a few days. Here is what we know about it so far!
Have a look at my review of the current Anova Precision Cooker if you’re new to sous vide cooking.
- Bluetooth Connectivity
- Anova App to set / control the appliance
- MultiCook / MultiStep support
- 360°directional pump for maximum circulation
- LCD interface with touch buttons
The new Anova Nano will be made out of food grade thermoplastic and will measure 104mm (4.1″) x 79mm (3.1″) x 325 mm (12.8″) and weight only 0.7kg (1.4 lbs). This is a big difference when compared to the previous Anova. Apart from a redesign, the Nano will be 4cm shorter, narrower and 400g lighter – which, although might not seem like much in numbers, will make a difference when handling. It does have a slightly less powerful 700w element which is capable of heating your sous vide bath within the range of 25°C (77°F) to 92°C (197°F) up to a maximum of 11L (3 gallons). The new MultiCook / MultiStep feature means the Anova App can be paired with multiple Anova Nanos set at different temperatures to cook different meals – and this will also be possible for low-budget home cooks considering the incredible price of $99! Anova Culinary should start pre-order very soon – head here to pre-order yours!
